Raised on Oahu's North Shore, he became the youngest winner of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing in 2011 and a three-time WSL World Champion (2016, 2017,2024), an olympian. He is born on October 18, 1992, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he grew up on the North Shore of Oahu in Haleiwa.
